Meyer8043
Have a wood big river short reed goose call and it's pretty hard to blow, looking for a call to get better on and easier to blow? Any thoughts about lynch mob or drc calls? Any specific suggestions would be great! I dont know how to tune a call so i am looking for one that sounds good out of the box. Price doesn't matter. Thanks
benbosh
the knight and hale pit boss is easy to blow and pretty cheap. it also helps if you tune it and i shaved the reed a little and that helped too
cutter08
Im a big fan of Tim Grounds calls. The new super thang is a farley easy call to run. Also take a look at the super mag and pro super mag.
Quackaddict9
A few calls that have been mentioned above are good choices...if you can try as many different ones, I recommend you to do that and see what you like the best.A call may need to be tuned to your preference (high or low), shaved reeds are easier to break over and require less air. No short reed call is easy, each person has a time of learning it and mastering it. Watch a few calling instructional DVDs, you tube tips and whatever that will help you out. You will learn and good luck!
buckx37x
canada hammer sounds good and pretty easy to blow. There are lots of good ones my son blows a rnt sounds good but takes lot of air.
Moonie
All the above calls are good. I have a flute and a zink short reed. Have called in geese with both calls. The short reeds don’t require as much air but do require a bit of practice with backpressure tongue placement, etc… those how to dvds help a lot. I do a lot of practicing in my car to and from work. Get some funny looks, but whatever.
Will
Big river long honker, super easy to blow, you sacrifice some range though.
Seabass77
I think the grounds calls sound great, but they are also some of the more challenging calls to blow IMO. For ease, I would try the Zink or RNT goose calls to start with. I like the Zink Little Man or RNT Dirty Bird as a good all around call. tracker x-2
I have a RNT and recentrly bought a Zink power clucker. The Rnt call sounded good, but man after ten minn of pretty consistant calling you needed a 5minn breather. After blowing the Power clucker a few times for fun at gander I could not pass it up. The hardest thing to get use to was only using a 1/4 ammount of air to blow it.
