It was a tough weekend to be fishing the River! I am back in the office after two tough days of fishing Mississippi. Depsite the bad weather there were some dandy fish caught. On Saturday the winning weight was about 46 pounds of fish. That is a lot considering this was a 6 fish limit and it included a 17 inch sauger!

On Sunday the Winning weight was about 25 pounds, and the bite was equally tough even thought the weather was considerably better.

As for us, my partner Flyingfish and I finished 15th on Saturday and 9th on Sunday. We managed limits each day but couldn't get "the big one". Did anyone else fish the event?ScottS
