I have wanted to get one of these for awhile. I need one for slug guns, rifles, and ARs. A couple questions:

1. Will AR's with a high capacity magazine fit on the original lead sled, or one with a 5 round magazine?

2. If not, do I have to go to the Lead Sled Solo?

3. Does the Solo work just as well as the original to keep the gun steady and reduce recoil?

Thanks!

I can go down & check a little later. (watching the game now!!)

I have the DFT model.

But I have to ask why would you shoot an AR off of a Lead Sled?

I only use mine for my .338 Win Mag when sighting in or develpoing a new load.

Other wise I shoot off bags for practicing.

My buddy has a lead sled and it works awesome for slug guns and other big kick guns. we have found that 5/10 round mags work best when shooting our AR's......I can shoot my AR just as accurately off of sand bags, but when the lead sled is out, the AR will fit in it with the shorty mag.....
