Somebody said they had a big hailstorm near williston with baseball sized hail that killed tons of pheasants. Any body know anything?

There were not that many pheasants to be killed.

Yep, it happened sometime in July, but Williston isn't really known for it's pheasant population.

we always do well on the birds out there. Just have know where the habitat is. Pretty good pheasants, sharpies and some huns.

They have had some rough winters up there over the past 3 - 4 years. But historically that general area is better than you think.

My mother in Law is in Williston. Every time my wife and have gone for a visit I've seen tons of birds. From my experience Williston beats anything MN has to offer hands down.

I shouldnt blab too much. We usually dont see any other hunters when where out there. And landowners are friendly and will let you hunt as opposed to So. Dak. Legally if it isnt posted you can walk it, but we always try and ask. Plus the PLOTS land is usually real good.
