Dell Inspiron 1501.

When I fire up the computer the first thing that pops up is a set of text that reads,"The system cannot identify the battery and will not be able to charge the battery. Press any key to continue."

Is my laptop telling me I have a bad battery or is it something deeper? This just started happening yesterday. Been using the laptop for a few weeks now without a glitch.

I did quick search on the web and it looks like dell has a tool to fix it. Didn't have time to dig too deep into it tho. Probably go to dell's site and search there or if your laptop is still under warranty call them and they should be able to walk you through it.
