Rigging new transducer on trolling motor?

Dan L

Question

I am mounting a new transducer on my minn kota auto pilt. I ran the cable thru the handle to the head and down the coils for the electrical power. I have about 6 feet of cable left. What is the best way to rig the the rest of this cable. I ran it back and forth thru the coil and then out to the depth finder. Does anyone have a better suggestion? Do I have to worry about interference by rigging the cable this way?

I also run the transducer cable through the coiled wire on the motor.

From there I run it to the back of the sonar unit. Any extra cable at that point is tucked below the deck through the same hole / hole cap that is used for the power wires. Excess cable below the deck is gather and bound if there's easy access to it, or left loose if the only easy access is through the hole cap.
