zamboni
Anyone out there have thoughts on some of these great college players and whether or not they can make it in the NFL after their college days are over?In particular, Tim Tebow and our own Eric Decker? Dave S
After watching tonights game, Decker could make a good tight end in the NFL.I've heard Tebow wouldn't pursue a QB position in the NFL. If I remember right, he'd rather be a RB. A decision like that could be the difference of whether or not he would last in the NFL, let alone make it there. zamboni
With that arm he won't be a QB???
LMITOUT
No team would draft him and use him as RB. That's ridiculous.Tebow should be a premier QB in the NFL.
gr8icefishinmind
Tebow won't do jack in the NFL!!! Decker will be a great possession reciever in the league!!
gr8icefishinmind
Look out for A.J. Green of the Georgia Bulldogs when he comes to the NFL, he will be a stud and a randy moss type receiver without the baggage!!
LMITOUT
Wasn't Bobby Wade a "great possession receiver"? I believe he's unemployed now.Take off the "he's one of us" glasses before judging. Decker may be a slot receiver if he's lucky.
gr8icefishinmind
Exactly, a possession receiver! He runs solid routes and has a great possession receiver body and can take hits!!! The glasses comment was pretty stupid by you, if you watch college football you would see that he is definetly a good possession reciever and not affraid to take a hit and hang on to the ball! You like your little cheap shots don't ya??? haha
Dave S
No team would draft him and use him as RB. That's ridiculous.Tebow should be a premier QB in the NFL. I don't disagree LMIT. A past supervisor of mine showed me an article after the championship last year that said Tebow isn't interested in being a QB in the NFL. LMITOUT
The glasses comment was pretty stupid by you, if you watch college football you would see that he is definetly a good possession reciever and not affraid to take a hit and hang on to the ball! Not really, because if he was a WI or IA player you'd blast him left and right. The only reason he was considered in this discussion is because he's a Gopher, or as stated in the original post "our own". And then to put him in the same sentence as Tebow? Baahahahahahaha. People need to realize Gopher players are typically a scale or two below the national talent level. And then in the pre-game Sam Maresh's father praises the overpaid cheerleader Brewster that he is "closing the borders" and recruiting more MN players? Good luck with that! gr8icefishinmind
He will not be a QB in the NFL......he doesn't have the PASSING skills to be a qb, especially not in the nfl!!! He may make a good fullback though, although i don't think he could handle the punishment! He will be a draft BUST for whoever drafts him! gr8icefishinmind
I guess that i did not use the "our own" line! So to use that against me just doesn't work for ya bud!!
gr8icefishinmind
Weber is "our own" and i think that he has played a terrible first two games of the season and probably will not get drafted!!
gr8icefishinmind
And then to put him in the same sentence as Tebow? Baahahahahahaha.Decker will be a MUCH better professional player than tebow will!!! Tebow in the same sentence as decker as far as being a professional baller....BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! good one! LMITOUT
Decker will be a MUCH better professional player than tebow will!!! Not much sense taking this conversation any further after that statement. Wow. Somebody's been drinking the Brewster lemonade.
gr8icefishinmind
why would you think that tebow will be a better pro? especially at qb??
gr8icefishinmind
Tebow definetly has the heart but does not have the skill to play football PROFESSIONALLY as a QB!!!
Dave S
Granted, Tebows passing yardage has dropped since '07 (his best year). He's only projected to throw for 2256 this year. But most of that I attribute to the play calling and how the coaching staff are using him.
gr8icefishinmind
And we are talking about playing pro ball against PROFESSIONAL cornerbacks, lineman, and linebackers!!! He does not stand a chance!!
Dave S
I don't see where you think that Tebow would be any less durable at QB at a professional level than any other QB currently in the NFL.
LMITOUT
I bet Tebow will be 10x the QB T-Jack is. But then again, who isn't.

gr8icefishinmind
His decision making skills against NFL caliber players will make him look bad! Tebow relies on his scrambling skills to allow him to pass the ball, in the nfl those scramblings skills will not be as good as the defenses are 100 times better and more aggresive! Just speculation but I just don't see how people could think that he will be a good qb in the pro's!!
LMITOUT
Just speculation I'd say.
gr8icefishinmind
Tebow will be a poor mans t-jack! and where does t-jeck come into this conversation, we are talking about players in college and if they will do anything in the NFl!
