Mopeds??

Hey guys I'm lookin in to buying a moped for to and from campus. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good brands for fairly cheap. (under $1000) any help is greatly appreciated.

I would look on that Craig guys site for a Honda ruckus cant peddle it like a bike but the 50cc doesnt need a motorcycle endorsment and they are cool looking little buggers and have trunks and bags and stuff for hauling books (or beer )

I bought my son a new JCL moped. Made in China but the dealer has parts available and does work on them.Seems to be a good running machine. 4 stroke 110 mpg 49cc but he has had it up to 42 mph and it is minnesota legal moped just don't tell them that it can go over 30mph.He has ridden the heck out of it all summer with no problems at all. Bought it from Thoft seeds in Lakefield minnesota.

As said above, anything 50cc and larger you will need a motorcycle endorsement to be legal. A friend of mine in college bought a 49cc scooter and put lots of time and money into modifying it. By the time we got done with college he had it to where it would do over 70mph! Very dangerous on a little scooter but fun as heck!
