Shoot2Kill
do not use greentreated lumber in a aluminum boat! do some research Too late. None of it is touching the aluminum...the floor is all wrapped in carpet on both sides.....will that be okay still? The 2x2s that are touching the sides of the boat are not treated....it will always be stored inside so I didn't go for the treated 2x2s. BoxMN
Shoot2kill, as long as the treated is either painted or wrapped, you should have no probs with it touching alum. Also, the newere treated you can get now I don't think will react bad. Also, we put some treated in a boat as a test, and so far no probs, after at least 4 years or so.Looks great! Nice job! jwmiller33
ya i don't think you have anything to worry about the treated wood and how you used the carpet around the ends... to be honest, like BoxMN said, the newer stuff isn't nearly as bad. you are good to go! now go catch some fish! Wish-I-Were-Fishn
Now lose the speakers and you got a real man's boat
metro fisherman
How much did the extra weight slow you down, if any?
Shoot2Kill
Now lose the speakers and you got a real man's boat Those speakers (kept very low) make a 10 hour day throwing muskie baits much more tollerable!
Shoot2Kill
How much did the extra weight slow you down, if any? With 2 guys in the boat full throttle it seems a bit slower, but not much....by myself I don't even notice it.
