I have a 75hp Merc and have been thinking about putting a different size prop on so it planes out quicker, but have been told I need to find out what the RPM range is on the motor. I currently have a 19 pitch prop on the boat now. I have looked through the operation manual and cannot find the specs on the RPM range. If anyone has any knowledge of what size prop I could use, would be helpful. The boat is a 18' tracker.

I had a 75hp Mariner (same motor as Merc) on a 16' Lund. The recomended max rpm on it was 5400-5800.

I had the best performance with a 13 1/4 X 18 stainless prop. With your larger boat you may need to try a 17" pitch for a better hole shot.
