Agate Question

Both my kids have got into finding agates.

We will be going on Vacation next week up the north shore, is there any spots we could check out on the way.

Also are there certian areas a person should be looking>

The actual lake superior shoreline has agates but gets hit pretty hard from what I hear. Now people are even scuba diving for them! I have not hunted rocks up there so I can't really say but "find gravel, find agates"

Thanks Dark, the kids have really got into looking for agates and I just wanted to have some idea of an area to begin looking.

We did have some luck on Grandpa's driveway over the weekend.

Check with the county you will be agate hunting as some of them along the north shore require a permit to keep agates.

I hit it hard this weekend but only came up with a dozen or so small tumblers....its even tough for us big kids sometimes

My buddy did pick up a nice one over a pound (that scumbag)
