IdHitThat
Been fishing forest lake the past few weeks, I was pre-fishing befor mikes bait on 8's tournament Sunday the 26th, was out Friday the 24th, caught my 1st muskie 40 1/2, took a few days, but I'm hooked on musky fishing for life now, I guess what im asking is what lure/color has had the best luck and what size fish have been pulled up there this year Ive personally heard of a 54 and two or three other 50inchers pulled up in forest lake. Musky_Madness
If you subscribe or get a chance to check this week's lake feature in Outdoor News, they have Forest Lake featured theis week. They stated that the biggest they have heard fo this year from the locals was a 48" and several last year slightly over 50". Could be a few in there that are that size possibly. Congrats on your first musky! That's always a rush! As far as lures/colors go...there is more out there to catch fisherman than will ever catch fish! Make sure you have a variety and learn how to work them properly.
Lare Pie
Both natural and bright colors work on Forest. Like said b/4, its good to carry a variety of colors. Also, all kinds of lures will catch fish. I've caught them on hair, jerk-baits, cranks, plastics and toppers. You can't pinpoint it down to just a couple of lures. fishingman13
I've been out on forest for the past month now working it real hard, and the natural colors are working the best but a few of the brighter colors come in handy at times. And a variety of lure are working for me. So I mean the table is pretty much wide open.
