Was down to the Root last saturday/sunday guiding a buddy to his first southeastern Mn stream trout. I found plenty of trout although nothing over 15" this time. Its not easy walking this time of year with all the summer growth along the river but we managed....

Scott had a great time. I already set him up with a $250 Mudeye rod and reel...now I got to get him a GC80 and a stiff little stick for the next trip to the Root!

We also ran into a bunch of my old neighbors from the campground celebrating 50 years (ouch) Thank God the jello shots were gone by the time we got back from our spot.
