Does anyone know how the Coast Gaurd treats the Wisconsin/Michigan border. I was told by a former foresty employee there is 5 mile tolerance. Anyone confirm this? Just about finished up with the summer projects boat.

Havent heard much on the Saxon area as of late, but am sure folks are catching fish out of there. Water temps are probably still cool, so fishing from the top down would be my method to finding fish over there right now.. Starting in 50 FOW and working deeper to find the fish.

For the MI/WI line, not sure what you are asking? For sure, license wise, I would have both if you plan to cross back and forth while fishing.

I have fished out of Saxon my whole life and I never heard of the 5 mile tolerance. From what I have been told is once you are East of the Montreal River you are in Michigan Waters. And for me it is easy as I only fish Planner boards in the area so I am usually pretty close to shore.
