Bait Shop West of Fort Frances on 11/71

Last time I was in Fort Frances we stopped at Witherspoons to buy leaches. I’ve heard they are now closed.

We are heading west on 11/71 out of Fort Frances then north on 71 through Nester Falls and Sioux Narrows. Do any of you have recommendations on bait shops along the way that sell leaches by the pound?

Your best bet is likely Rainy Lake Sports just East of Fort Frances by about 1 to 2 miles. Look them up on the internet for directions.

I would like to find one west of Fort Frances so we don't have to double back. A couple of miles isn't that big a deal so your recommendation on Rainy Lake Sports could work for us.

Village Variety in Emo on the left hand side of the road sells leeches by the pound and have minnows and crawlers as well. In Nestor Falls there is Anglers Pro Shop and Nestor Falls Bait & Tackle, they both sell leeches by the pound as well. Rainy Lake Sports always has leeches and has good quality as well, but is a little out of the way.

Stop at Anglers pro in Nestor Falls, Phil has always given us great bait. He really has good leeches when everyone else seems to be running out.

Sounds like I can find bait in Nestor Falls (after we stop at the Emo Inn for lunch) on our way up to Reddens on Longbow lake.
