Fall baits for trout lake fishing

Thinking of giving it a go on one of the trout lakes. I don't put my boat away until December. What are some suggested baits, depths and techniques for fall trout fishing (lakes)? I have done a fair amount of trout fishing streams in the fall but very little in the lakes. Thanks

Try worms, panfish size jigs, small spinners and small spoons.
Trout can be anywhere this time of the year. Best way to find them is to check dropoffs into deep water. While doing this keep a eye out for rising trout too.
