Finally got to use my new camera

Got a rebel Xsi this spring and sprung for a canon 70-300 af is a few weeks ago. I've been too busy to use it with work and all, but we went camping on Vermilion last week and spent some time in Ely and was able to start playing with it.

The weather wasn't the greatest and the sun didn't make very many appearances so I had to deal with what was available.

Found this guy hanging out. We had to play hide and seek cause he would fly away and then I would hide behind a tree and then he would come back around.

Found some loons swimming around when we were out fishing and was able to get some shots.

Finally we stopped at the wolf sanctuary in Ely during the windy and rainy Friday.

I have more, but they are not worthy...these are just some better (luckier) shots.
