Took my son and dad up here just for a couple days over the long weekend. We are friends with the new owner who invited us up. Ran into pretty good post cold front conditions Sat so was a little slow, but Sunday and Mon morn we caught eyes pretty steady, with several 23-25". Didn't need live bait (twisters and gulp worked just as well) but he has minnows plenty - we even went on one of his minnow pond trap runs. Didn't get into any of the big girls, but several of the guests caught 28-29" fish, including one guy who caught 3 over 28 Sun eve. Not bad for a drive-to place, of course it's been catch & release only for several years now. Great cabins and location, I think he'll do a great job with the resort - beatiful lake with lots of islands and a couple rivers and creeks coming in.
