Loose hub/axle HELP?

Just bought a used 04 700 sportsman with 1400 miles. After having it home and doing some more maintenance checks on it, I found that the rear wheels have "slop/play" in them laterally. In other words I can grab the outside of the tire and it "moves" in and out. I took the hub off to see if the axle was seating and that looks fine. Is there a bearing or sleeve that could be going bad? Or is it normal to have some "play" in the wheels? I'm guessing no!!! I'm wondering if this was a "good" deal anymore?? By the way the front wheels act the same.

THANKS

Does the hub actually move or does the whole A-Arm move. It could possibly be just the A-Arm bearings are bad.

My old DS650 (when I still had it) had nylon bushings that went out in the A-Arms. Cost me a total of $32 in parts and my time and it was as good as new.
