Sprinkler system issue

I have a 8 zone sprinkler system and this morning zone 5 won't shut off, all the rest of the zones run through their cycles and shut off but zone 5 stays on. [PoorWordUsage]

If you know where to locate the control valve for that zone, go in there and try shutting the zone off at the valve. Then wait a few minutes and open it back up and see if it stays down. Sometimes sand can get in the valve and make them stick on.

If all the rest work fine, there's a good chance it's the valve.

is this the 1st time you fired it up this season? If so, it just might be stuck, tap on it a few times or, like mentioned manually shut it down. You shold be able to locate your valve boxes along your lines. Typically, we draw up "as builts" when we install them. What kind are they?
