Trail opening question...

I see on the DNR HSOforum that the martineau trails by walker are opening this weekend. cool I emailed the DNR and they confirmed. My question is...that land is part of the Paul Bunyan forest which is still closed, does that mean the trails aren't really open???????? Beauracracy at it's best cry

My understanding is that the trail would be open, but any anscilary forest roads would remain closd until the forest is officially open. It is legal to ride within certain state forests on specific roads (per the DNR HSOforum). So I think it is possible that the trail be open, but the forest still be closed.
