He also said the smoothest quietest round braid is the new Stren Sonic Braid. I haven't used it yet but he said it rated pretty high as new product go.I also tried Suffix braid last year and dug it. NCLaker Posted April 2, 2009 Share Posted April 2, 2009 I was considering giving Stren Sonic Brain a try on one of my new reels ... that was until I saw the diameter of the line. According to their HSOforum 80# test is 30# mono diameter equivelant. Many of the other line's 80# is 18# mono diameter.Is the Sonic stuff that much thicker? If it is, I think I'll pass on using it.
