There are a couple options.

1. you can try immersing the handle in boiling water in hopes of the glue loosening up and being able slide it off.

2. you can carefully just cut off the handle and clean up the glue with either some sort of solvent(careful not to get it on the paint of the blank) and or sand it off.

Main thing is being careful to not damage the blank underneath the handle.
