so i am heading down the the river on thursday to do some legal bassin. Here is my question do i sleep in this time of year and wait until the sun comes up and get warm or do i be on at first light. Don't know how much water temperature dictates and especially on the river. Just looking for some knowledgable opinions.

If your pre-fishing for the tourney, I'd say get there early and stay late!!! It was tough for me last Fri/Sat, but I have heard some are doing OK.

Now, taking that out of the equation, I think the sun is a huge help this time of year. If the day is to bring sun, going later and staying later is a better option. If it's to be cloudy, I don't think it matters.

Agreed with Fluker. The sun makes a HUGE difference especially prespawn.
