Vexilar Fat Lines Problem - Help!

Does anyone else have this problem? I have an fl 8 and it shows lines fatter than others i've seen. i like seeing fat lines when there are big fish but it seems mine just arent crisp like other units. i've fished around.

I bet you have a really sensitive transducer signal. If you haven't already, turn your gain down to about 1.

I did that and it didnt help. I bought an s cable to see if that does the trick. thanks for the tip though.

I had that problem too. It seemed like the longer I fished, the fatter the lines got. I bought a new battery and haven't had the problem since.
