I have an old, old green box without a ducer. Can any type work? Like, could I buy a 20 degree ducer, anykind, plug it in and have it working? Thanks much for any help.

In general, I would say that not all transducers will work with any sonar.

#1 Connectors
#2 Power requirements - RX vs TX power

I would contact someone at an Electronics dealer, I think there is a store around here that deals with this, like Fish-tronics, or something else like that.

In general, I wouldn't recommend it.
