AKSalmonSlayers
Interior Ice fishing Harding Lake for some Hard Luck - Taking someone new trying to ice lake trout. We found 9 inches of ice and sat over 75 feet for about 4 hours and only marked a couple fish. Made the move to 105 feet to fish the remaining day. It sure is nice to have a great equipment vertically fishing in the deep depth. We each scored a nice laker in the 30 inch range and Jacob picked up a bonus arctic char. All fish released. Side Note: Don't be selfish and greedy take someone new out fishing with you this season. Share, celebrate, inspire, and repeat. Teach them about selective harvest and pass along your passion about ice fishing to the next generation.
leech~~
You let them go? I thought everyone in Alaska had to get so many fish in the freezer before the hard winter comes-or their all going to Die! Or is that only on Alaska the last Frontier? Nice catch! AKSalmonSlayers
All of our harvesting is done in the summer, completed before September ends. Halibut & Pacific Salmon stacked in our igloos, no room for winter trout. Not so wild ... we even have the internet You realize Santa Claus lives right down the street from us in North Pole?
