Moose
Hey all, We recently purchased some land with an existing house on the property. We would like to turn it into a hunting shack. The house is 50x30 with a 50x12 4 season porch on it. We would like to keep the porch and a 30x20 section of the house as a bunk area. The rest we would like to gut out and use for storage. I would like to put a garage door on it for access to the storage area. The house is going to need siding and a roof soon any ideas on this ? I'm thinking steel but may consider vinyl siding and steel roofing. Let me know your ideas or previous experiences.
Tom7227
What area? Are you thinking about putting ATV's or such in the storage? If so does the house have a basement and if it does what sort of shape is the flooring where you want to park things?
Moose
We're in Central Minnesota. The house does have a basement under 1/2 of it but the "addition" the previous owner put on is in rough shape and just sitting on sand with a vapor barrier. The addition is about 20'x 18". We would gut that out and support thr roof better and use it to store a tractor and some implements also to hang deer and have a shop area.
