finnbay
Wow! The bees showed up in force at my wife's flower garden today!
Birdsong
It is amazing how hairy these little guys are. Nice photos. I enjoyed studying the last two--it is so obvious exactly where the plane of focus is because both the foreground and background are beautifully blurred. But my favorite is probably the third. Maybe the second? Very pretty.

finnbay
Thanks all! Birdsong, that focal plane is so important when doing macro. These were taken with the 100mm 2.8 from about 15 inches and there were MANY where part of the bee would be in focus, but the rest wouldn't be. ShawnZ
I'd say number two should get plenty of buzzzz! Seriously, all elements are working harmoniously in that image, very pretty.

Steve Foss
Last one does it for me, Ken. Nice work. We've got the bumblebees going nuts for our black oil sunflower blossoms, which just popped a few days ago.
