2003 Chev Silverado 1500 4x4

It's been a while since I have owned a vehicle long enough to worry about new shocks/ suspension. We just passed the 100,000 mark and the shocks are worn not to bad but enough to notice while towing the boat. The truck is starting to sag and bounce a bit. What all should I look at replacing with the shocks? What brands do you recommend? Anything I should be worried about or pay close attention to?

If its sagging than the springs are the problem. If its bouncing than the shocks are the problem. I am a big fan of O.E. shocks for a lot of application. In your case you made it a 100k on the O.E. ones so why not roll with those. In many cases dealer are very competitive as far as price!

Also the big reason the aftermarket shocks and struts tend to carry a lifetime warranty. They wear out faster than the O.E. so you can keep coming back and paying labor for new ones.
