2 pounder bulldogs

Anyone throw/troll these? I got one in the mail yesterday and it is a big fish lure indeed.

I threw on once for about 15 minutes just to try it. It was something that one would have to build up to.

I have friends that toss 'em in the fall, but pounders always get the nod first. The 2 pounder does log a lot more trolling time with decent success.

Jerry, or anyone else that has had fish hit these.....do the fish often hit the tail area past the second treble often? That is my worry on these baits. The area past the second treble is unbelievably huge. Not sure how good of a hooking bait these would be.

I have a whole pile of pounders with the tail missing. It's usually not the muskies but the mid 30s pike that think they can eat anything. Got so bad I didn't even have a copper color to throw last week.

I have never caught a fish on the 2LB model. Friends have, and claimed that they aren't the best hooker in the world. They don't get tail hit a lot, but the cranium is so bulbous and the body so thick, that it is often difficult to drive the hooks home on a casting hookset. Trolling seemed to yield a higher percentage of caught fish.
