ilovefishing
i have a 1989 ford mustang 2.3 liter 4 speed automatic. there are two round things on the passenger side by the dipstick tube of the transmission. the front one is leaking tranny fluid(looks like a snap ring holds the cover in place) my question is what is this called and does any one know where i could find a picture diagram of this transmission? thanks for any advise
Jeremy airjer W
They can be a real PAIN to replace! If I remember right there are springs behind the covers. They make a tool to compress them to get the snap ring in and out. Does that sound right?
Scott K
That would be a servo cover.
