I got this email from someone on another site that was from out of state. Does anyone know a shop afound the metro that can do this work. What does a dynomometer do anyway?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"30 HP outboard on a 15' aluminum should get you at least 25 MPH-------------------So you need to find a shop that has a MARINE DYNOMOMETER to check your motor condition / power output. ----------You need to know the condition of the motor before doing anything else."

A dynamometer will tell you how much hp you're getting at the prop shaft, and should give you an indication of how you're motor's running (that a compression test, etc would give you a rough idea of the same situation).

I can't give you any pointers on who's got a dyno in the cities.. sorry!
