Anyone been there or around there recently? Me and some friends camped there for a weekend last year and fished the river, it was a lot of fun. And we had decent luck with the Brown and Rainbows there. Will be back there again in the next few months. Would love to hear some info or tips if anyone has any!

there is a road about half way thru elba that leads to plainview there are two bridges there before you climb up the hill. i usually come in from up on the hill and walk the stream down. I know the dnr stocks usually heavy, since their shop is just outside of elba(kind of nice to walk thru and see all the fish in the hatchery.) good luck

I was there open fish weekend - but not to fish. DNR said that since the flood, fishing has never been better. I camped in the lower campground along the river, but the road to the campsites is not marked very well (no signage) - the sites aren't as shaded and still quite a pile of driftwood along the river edge. I plan on going back this fall.

    • Next up Grow Lights, I have a south facing window in my den that I use to start plants with. I have a big shelf at window height then I use glass blocks and put steel closet racks on top to set my plants on. I can stack about three levels high. Above all of this I have a three bulb flood light fixture This year I went out and bought three 15 watt grow lights. I had to buy some socket extenders so the grow lights would screw into the floodlight sockets. Tried them out last night and they are pretty dang bright. I am going to have them on during cloudy days and in the evening to see if they help promote growth. Any day now I should have some tobacco coming up and I will see if the lights help speed up their growth.

    • I think the Wild vs Jets games are pretty awesome atmosphere-wise. They have a lot of fans that travel down here for games too. It would appear to be a fun place to watch a game in Winnipeg for sure!

    • Have heard that's a fun arena to catch a game at.
    •     Actually I haven't advocated anything. Just pointing out the War on Drugs hasn't been a success along with skepticism that anyone can "win" it   I'll leave the debate of legalization and the pros and cons of doing such to others
    • The problem of prescription abuse has been recognized on a national level, but it must not fit the agenda, since there was no funding appropriated to go with the legislation.         On the national level, Congress this year passed the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act(CARA), which increased to 275 the maximum number of patients for whom a physician can provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid dependence. In a provision aimed at controlling usage and reducing diversion, the law allows prescribers or patients to request partial prescription refills and then opt to have the remainder filled within 30 days.

    •   They're legal until they fall into the wrong hands.  But I haven't heard of many cases where doctors or patients have ended up in prison for distributing narcotics.  So far, the suggested remedy for the epidemic seems to be for the states to set up online information sites so the public can be "educated" about the dangers of using addictive drugs.     So, apparently, armored vehicles, swat teams, and prison sentences are the answer for illegal drugs, and education is the key for legal drugs,
