Boat radio

What do I need to put between the radio and the battery if I am just trying to hook up a car stereo in my boat with marine speakers and and clue where to buy it? Thks

In-line fuse, otherwise any type of store that sells the radios and speakers would work for you, its all in how much $ you want to pay. I just got a basic pkg from FF 4 years ago.

The in-line fuse and the fuse in the radio just blows instantly when hook up directly to the battery! I have tried a few different radios and the same result!

Check all of the power wires to make sure that there isn't any place where bare wire is touching the boat. Most boat shorts that I experience are because a wire gets pinched somewhere, the insulation is nicked, and bare wire is touching the boat causing a short.

THe radiio and battery are sitting on my bench so there is no chance that there is a short!
