Flathead by Granite

This past weekend had some great success catching channels by Granite Falls. Me and my boys were out pretty much all day and most of the night, but the really weird thing was about 12:30am saturday morning my oldest boys hollered at me and said dad I think I caught a flathead. I was like ya right not this far up the minnesota but sure enough he caught himself a little flathead. It was around 12" long was it. I did take a pic with my phone but it didnt turn out due to not having a flash. I'm just wondering if there is any bigger flats out there since he caught a little one. Anybody else ever caught one this far up the river?

Used to catch flats at the Upper Sioux Agency state park, but that was in the late '80's.
