I used to fish there a ton and I love it there. If you haven't been there in a while check the rules and regulations, a lot has changed in the past 10 years. All I got to say is pack light, because to get to Mountain you need to go through the main body of Crooked and you will be rowing, they don't allow motors past the main channel. Still worth it in my mind, you should hook up with a lot of bass over the 4.lb mark. My personal favorite lake is "Snapjack", also a catch and release lake but the chances at a 6+lb Large Mouth are great. As for pike fishing on Crooked I know there are some monsters in there but never hooked up with anything big. Oh yeah remember NO LIVE BAIT, and you will most likely get checked so follow the rules.

Have fun.
