Stripers

I'm heading to CT to visit some family the second week in May and want to do some striper fishing. Since most charter rates are based on 4 people and I am only a party of 1 it is harder to find a decent charter or guide. Does anyone have any suggestions for guides or another way for me to have a shot at some fish? I'm willing to drive within two hours of Mystic Seaport. My original plan is to stay close and fish long island sound but I am not very in the know.
