Rear defrost question

I've got a 2000 Malibu with rear defrost, or now lack there of I guess you could say. The wire has broke away from the element inside the window. Is there any way a guy can reattach that wire or is it a deal were I'd have to replace the window? I don't need it, but it's nice to have especially this morning when there's a ton of frost on the windows.

They make a kit where you can reglue/solder the wires back on, also make a kit to paint the lines back on if they are open as well. Any parts store should have them in stock.

I have used the paint the line repair stuff with success in the past. The "glue" the terminal stuff has had variable results. it either works great or it doesn't.
