golden or lab

Can I please gety some opinions on Labs and Goldens. I'm struggling with deciding which on to get. I will hunt with the dog occasionally but mainly will be a family pet for me and my two young kids. What are some of the pros and cons of both?

ct, I'm sure you will get all the opinions you want. I am a die hard lab man as I hunt ducks 40 to 50 days a year and run him in AKC hunt tests in the summer. Goldens are a great family dog as are labs but labs tend to be a little more intense (don't worry Golden owners I know there are hard going Goldens as well) Both breeds shed extensively and require regular excersise. They are both natural born retrievers and are easily trained. You really can't go wrong with either. Good Luck with whichever you choose.
