Wondering what's a good starter mountain/road bike for about $200-300. Heard alot about the TREK bikes, are they any good? I'm about 6'2'', so i need a bigger bike. Thanks for the help.

I think for your budget Trek would be a good choice. My wife has one and it has been a great bike for her. She loves it.

Trek is a good brand... I ride one (a road bike) and have had no problems with it.

I ride a Specialized Crossroads Elite hybrid and really enjoy the ride of it. The cost was around $450 but it is worth every penny of it if you are going to take this serious. Trek is also a very good bike with no problems.

Definitely buy a bike shop brand of bike. Service and dependability with these bikes are worth the extra...
