RainyEye
I was fortunate to spend some time yesterday morning at Buck's Lake in Henderson and captured these 2 eagles sailing overhead with the wind. I made a beginners mistake by not having the shutter speed higher, but they turned out pretty well. C/C welcome.
MN Shutterbug
When they are soaring, you don't need a real fast shutter speed. However, in the future, I'd bump the ISO up to 400, just in case one comes by fast. Were you facing north, when you took this seond shot? It's such a nice blue sky, which definitely helps your exposure, without the necessity of much, if any compensation.Good job.
RainyEye
Thanks X-Tackleman, I appreciate the advice about the ISO and, yes , I was facing north on the second one.
mountaindew
Nice Shots! If you come a bit earlier, you'll be able to get shots of them eagles by the shore where the fish are. They tend to be out there till about 9 and go back up the trees or fly around and come back to feed about 11 or noon then go back up.
