Bailey needs a new home (chocolate lab) (Home Found!)

Recommended Posts

Do to a bad situation (read about it HERE) we need to find a new home for Bailey our chocolate lab. She is around 7 years old wonderful with children and other animals. We have had her several years. We adopted her right after she was in a serious car accident. She for the most part is fine now. She is missing half her tail and has a few scars. She has some soreness every now and then too. She does get out and do some hunting. Mainly duck hunting, because she loves water so much, but I do run her out pheasant hunting from time to time. She does benefit from an e-coller when out of a fenced area. You ussually don't need to use it, just having it on is ussally enough to keep her honest or a warning beep will sufice if something really grabbed her attention. Overall she is great family dog who will make someone happy for many years. Our whole family is sad to see her go, but right now this is what we must do.

Please post any questions here or feel free to email me at jsb @ lucascorp.com

Below is a collection of pics of her over the past several years.

She does ok with ducks. She keeps here head in the sky waiting and will retrieve but will sometimes need a rock thrown to find the bird. She isn't perfect but is ok.

She is great with kids, see the pic above of my 4 year old son sleeping on her. Our daughter Lynn is almost 4 and grown up with Bailey. I also have 2 boys, 4 & 7. So she knows how kids are. If they do something that bothers her she doesn't growl, nip or anything. She either takes it or moves.

Ha! Is that a kiddie toilet seat around her head? At first I thought it was a doggie-cone, but know it is an even better photo smile

I too hope she finds a great home. I already have two big dogs...
