What to do w/ an old Volvo Penta Outboard.

Last fall in the dark I wrapped a rope around my prop heading out duck hunting. Something happend to the rewind and broke a few of the plastic cogs off the flywheel. Anyways, the pull rope will no loger engage.

The motor still runs great, but you do not easily find parts for these things.

Do any of you know where to find parts for this beast?? I think this motor is a bit of a collectors item...it was blue...but I painted it...does anyone know anything about these motor?? They seem rare in the US but more common in Scandinavia and the UK.

I think parts come from Sweden. You might try internet searching for a parts dealer. Service is up to you on that model.

BTW, I had a VP 20 many years ago. It was a great motor!
