Guest
Anyone out there know where I might be able to find some ducks for sale for dog training?
spinach
I've been thinking about your question and I'm guessing their has to be a regulation or law on training with ducks out of season, as I do know with pheasants this time of year it would be illegal to posess unless on a game farm or licensed shooting preserve. I could be wrong so if someone else can verify my statement or tell me I'm wrong please do so. If you would be willing to train with chukar they are available at most game farms. Keep in mind about the time of year that you cannot have a dog in a field for training (except with a special permit from the DNR) I'm not sure of the exact dates but it is written in the MN hunting regulations manual. I hope this helps you a little. Spinach.....
Benny
Try any local kennel that trains gundogs.I called Blaine kennels and Elkriver kennels to check thier prices to train Mandy, they both will give you the dead pigions and may even give you some dead quail and ducks. They just throw them away any way, so it saves them the space in the trash barrel.Benny
