HT tip up light and alarm

So i'm strolling through gander mt. the other day looking to spend money I don't have. I came across these little tip up alarms that claim to flash and emit an alarm. $2 for the thing so I figure why not? Its nothing fancy at all and it only works when the conditions are just right. So if you ever see them in the stores, just keep on walking by. Go buy your self a couple new jigs instead.

I've used a little red light, I think from HT, that sells for about $9 and works well. Tape it to the flag shaft. When horizontal, no light, when flag pops and shaft is vertical, light.

Those are what I normally use. They are mercury switches. We use them on planer boards at night too. works slick
