JimBuck
I do a good amount of fishing on my own so I'd like to invest in a set of Guide-ons for the trailer to make loading and unloading a bit easier. I am on a body of water with current 1/2 the time so I've thought about the idea of bunk style instead of post style guide-ons. The post guide-ons don't seem to offer any assistance in getting the boat on straight other than for visual reference....the boat is an 89' 16ft. Sylvan w/ tiller. Any suggestions or experience would be appreciated.
marine_man
The bunk style do a better job getting you centered, the drawback is that if you load the boat tight against one of the bunk ones and trailer a fair amount the guide-ons will rub your paint off on that side. The post ones keep your boat from drifting off the trailer, but as you said, don't do too much for keeping you straight.marine_man
