Lazer Mag blade sharpener

I see now they have a sharpener you can buy for putting an edge back on Lazer Mag blades. Anyone used one yet or hear if they work? Certainly a lot cheaper than replacing them!

they don't work all that well with the curved lazer blades (but better than no sharpening). I like to use my Dremel roto-tool with the sandpaper bit (looks like a windmill with about 10 flaps of flexible sandpaper). First remove the blades from the auger then lightly hone the edge back into shape. They won't be like brand new, but almost as sharp as exchanged blades. This has saved me untold dollars with my 224

I have it and I like it. Like said above its not going to do magic but it does help out quite a bit. It has extended the life of my power auger blades to 2 years (i used to change them every year). I use it on my lazer hand auger and its yet to get blades since I got it (4 years-I do only hand drill till there is a foot of ice). The main thing is that after I ran the sharpener down the blades I was able to tell a difference from before. Well worth the 7.99 or whatever it was.
