Is everybody getting around on Spirit okay with their trucks or is there a need to bring the atv along to pull the shack around?? Just wondering...

40 degrees is going to feel fantastic out there this afternoon, but I'm thinking slush will be an issue out there before the end of the day. Don't forget your log chain grin

Im thinking that I just might bring the atv to make sure... I hate to be the one that gets all of the attention. My wife would just love to find out that my pickup is in a snow bank on the the middle of Spirit... (She told me to say that too.... crazy) Will still have a log chain along just to be sure... LOL smile

Sorry guys but the work around the farm got in the way of my ice fishing today... It was so nice and there were just too many things that I need to get finished first. By the time I got everything done it was too late to come up there...

Hopefully tomorrow I will get the chance to ice fish...

By the way... How was fishing today??

We ended up with close to 25 today but nothing too big. most fish were from 9-10 1/2" ended up keeping a few smaller ones who were a little too aggressive with the minnows. We had our best luck out in the basin near the group but there was ALOT of sorting to be done before you could get anything of size. It ended up being a pretty fun day fishing outside with almost nonstop action even if most of them were on the small side.

Not sure where I'll be tomorrow i'm thinking West somewhere but not sure where just yet. I think im having bluegill withdrawals I haven't seen one in two weeks.

After fishing all week, I slept all day and then managed to get locked in my ice house. Picked up a pike first thing this morning and the perch were much smaller today than they were during the week.

I have to work the next 8 days so...no fishing for me for a few weeks.

I wondered if you decided not to fish hondarider, as I left a message on your phone, but never heard back from you.

We didn't get to the lake until about noon and had a fantastic day. Perfect day to be outside the shack moving around. We went directly to a waypoint out in the main lake basin, and never left that general area. Just had to chuckle at the army of shacks on buffalo run shocked

Our results were similar to Perch Pounder...I think we cleaned 20 or 21. Most of them in the 9-10 inch range, but a few smaller too. We did pick up 4 true jumbos, with the biggest going over 12, and 3 others a solid 11. Would hate to guess how many dinks we caught...the number of perch down there on the camera and Vex is truly unbelievable. My son was getting his fish on minnows, but I did my damage on a diamond jig and a wax worm. I think for awhile there you could've caught fish using a pencil eraser grin

We begrudgingly left the ice as darkness was just beginning to take over, but definitely a day to remember, and all the way home my son was thanking me for taking him.
