Just wondering how the muskie bite is on the hayward area lakes?? A couple weeks ago i was there and the water was still a little bit chilly.... i hope the toothy monsters are starting to heat up. any new info??

I was on Chip Flowage 7/3 - 7/10. The action wasn't hot and heavy but we saw some. They were on the weed beds and setting up for the summer ('bout time!). We were bulging bucktails over the top or spinner baits thru submerged weeds in about 8-10'. Got action on Jackpots as throw backs. Didn't get a chance to any night fishing, had the family along on the vacation. I missed one when I saw him coming and pulled the old "set the hook JUST BEFORE the hit". Sheesh!
